Water levels of major rivers returning to normal, flow likely normal for next three days

The water levels of major rivers across the country, which had risen after continuous rainfall, are returning to normal. According to a bulletin issued at 8am on Monday by the Flood Forecasting Division under the Secretariat of the Water and Energy Commission, the water level of the Narayani River is declining, while the risk of flooding has passed for all other major rivers.

The division said the flow of water in most small and large rivers across the country is expected to remain normal for the next three days.

Meanwhile, the water level and flow of the Marsyangdi River, which had risen due to rainfall, are also declining. The District Administration Office said there is no immediate risk of flooding in Lamjung.

Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Khanal said there is no need for immediate concern regarding the condition of the Marsyangdi River.
