Dispute over Malaysia's manpower list, Nepal insists on removing 25 companies

Nepal has insisted that the names of 25 manpower companies listed in Malaysia's foreign worker management system be removed.
Malaysia has listed 25 companies as main agencies and 250 companies under them as sub-agencies in the Foreign Workers Centralized Management System, or FWCMS. This means only a total of 275 agencies have been selected to send workers from Nepal.
Nepal has been objecting, saying Malaysia's structure is not acceptable. The government's position is that all companies licensed to operate by the government should be allowed to send workers to Malaysia.
Manpower entrepreneurs are also unhappy with the policy. They have accused Malaysia of creating a syndicate by selecting a limited number of companies, and have demanded that the government immediately take diplomatic initiative so that all companies can send workers.
