12 days of power cuts in parts of Kathmandu to set up underground electricity system

To bring the underground electricity distribution system into operation, the Nepal Electricity Authority will cut power in various areas of Kathmandu according to a schedule from Asoj 15 to Asoj 26.
Supply will be cut from 10 am to 3 pm in areas under the Kuleshwor, Baneshwor, Jorpati and Kirtipur distribution centers. The Authority said necessary technical work for managing the coming winter's power demand will also be carried out at the same time.
According to the schedule, power will be cut in Satungal-Bauthali on Asoj 15, Machhegaun-Dobhan Chowk and Khusi Chowk on Asoj 16, Mulpani on Asoj 17, and Gurjudhara on Asoj 18. Mulpani will see another cut on Asoj 20, followed by Balambu on Asoj 21, Koteshwor-Balkumari on Asoj 22, and Sifal on Asoj 24.
Work will be carried out in the Satungal-Dhaulagiri housing area on Asoj 25 and the Dhobikhola area on Asoj 26. The Authority has said the scheduled cuts will not take place if the weather is unfavorable.
