Monsoon in withdrawal phase, rain and snow likely in some provinces today

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the country is under the partial influence of monsoon winds and westerly winds. As a result, the sky is partly cloudy across the country at present.
According to the division, most parts of the country will see partly to generally cloudy skies today. Rain is likely in some places and snowfall in some places across six provinces, including Koshi and Bagmati. Light rain occurred in some parts of the country last night, but there was no heavy rainfall.
This year's monsoon has reached its withdrawal phase. According to meteorologist Binu Maharjan, there is currently no significant system likely to cause heavy rainfall in Nepal. The monsoon has already withdrawn from most parts of neighboring India.
According to meteorologists, the criteria for monsoon withdrawal appear close to being met from western Nepal. However, they say it cannot be stated exactly when the monsoon will withdraw. The division said a formal declaration of monsoon withdrawal will be made after confirmation over the next day or two.
