Monsoon begins to withdraw, rain likely in Bagmati, Koshi, Gandaki and Lumbini

The monsoon has begun to withdraw gradually from Nepal this year. It has already withdrawn from Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces, most of western Lumbini, and a small part of western Gandaki.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, westerly winds are influencing all of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, as well as the western parts of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. Light to moderate rain is likely in some places today, and rain is expected in Bagmati, Koshi, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
As the monsoon begins to withdraw, heavy rain has fallen in eastern Nepal. The department said cloudy skies in the afternoon and evening, with rain for a short period, will continue.
According to the department, although the monsoon has withdrawn from western Nepal this year, rain will not stop as soon as the monsoon withdraws.
