The Bagmati Province government has decided to build seven bridges in flood-affected Rasuwa and Nuwakot. At a provincial cabinet meeting held in Hetauda on Thursday, the government decided to build five suspension bridges and two Bailey bridges to reconnect transport links.

According to provincial government spokesperson and Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Bharat Bahadur KC, three suspension bridges will be built in Nuwakot and two in Rasuwa.

In Nuwakot, suspension bridges will be built at the point connecting the Meristop road in Vidur Municipality-4 with Ward No. 12's Coffee Bari, as well as at Simtachaur and Tirtire cliff. In Rasuwa, one suspension bridge each will be built connecting Syafrubesi and connecting Thuman to Linling.

Minister KC said the Bailey bridges will be built at Kuwapani on the Falakhu stream in Nuwakot and at a point in Vidur where the Trishuli river is crossed.
