Tender floated to upgrade main roads in Birgunj

The Road Division Office in Hetauda, Makawanpur, has floated a tender to widen the main roads in the Birgunj area of Parsa.

In the first phase, an 8-kilometre stretch of the Tribhuvan Highway in Birgunj will be upgraded, running from Miteri Bridge through Ghantaghar to Gandak Chowk.

According to office engineer Durga Prasad, the section from Idgah Chowk to the Power House will be built as a four-lane road. Cycle lanes and footpaths for pedestrians will also be built on both sides of the road.
