Partial westerly influence to bring light rain and snow to mountains and hills in four provinces

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the country is currently under partial influence of westerly winds. Weather remains mostly clear nationwide, though fog has settled over some areas of the Tarai in the mornings.
The division says the mountainous and hilly regions of the country will be partly cloudy over the next two days, with light rain and snow possible in some places. Today, light rain is likely in the mountainous areas of Karnali and the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, the division said.
Fog is expected to continue settling over some areas of the Tarai in the mornings, it added.
Meanwhile, the division said some parts of the country could see rain from Tuesday. Meteorologists at the division said there is no cause for concern even if rain occurs.
