Third day of Tika: people continue receiving tika, jamara and blessings from elders

On the third day of Tika under Bada Dashain, people are continuing to receive tika, jamara and blessings from their elders today, Friday.

Those who could not receive tika from elders on Bijaya Dashami or who missed it are receiving tika and blessings today as well.

As prasad of Navadurga, elders apply the red tika, a symbol of auspiciousness, and jamara, a symbol of prosperity, with their hands. People are continuing to visit relatives and family members' homes to receive tika today as well.

Dashain is a major festival for Nepalis. The tradition of receiving blessings from elders continues even on the third day of Tika.
