Artificial dam in Dang's Rani community forest brings irrigation to about 200 bigha of land

After an artificial dam was built in the Rani community forest area of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-18 in Dang, local farmers have found it easier to irrigate their land.
The area used to be dry, making it difficult for farmers to get water for farming. Locals say the appearance of the once-dry fields and land has changed since the dam was built.
According to Nepal Press, the dam now irrigates about 200 bigha of land.
Built within the community forest area, the dam has given local farmers a reliable source of water for irrigation. It is being seen as a useful initiative for agriculture in what was previously a dry area.
