Despite Brook's record double century, Sri Lanka chase down 430 to win
England captain Harry Brook has set a new world record for the fastest double century in One Day International (ODI) cricket. He achieved the feat during the match against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi.
With this double century, Brook also equaled a rare record held by West Indies' Chris Gayle.
Despite Brook's record-breaking innings, England lost the match. In the game played on Thursday, Sri Lanka completed the massive target of 430 runs with two wickets in hand to secure the win.
Brook's historic double century was overshadowed by Sri Lanka's victory.
