Police uniform procurement study subcommittee passes 19-point procedure, MP Sunar challenges police

The study subcommittee on uniform procurement for the Election Police, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, Nepal has unanimously passed a 19-point procedure. The subcommittee's first meeting, held at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, passed the procedure, which all members signed.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chief Whip Khushbu Oli said the procurement process for Election Police uniforms would be studied impartially, rising above political bias and prejudice.
Meanwhile, Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Khagendra Sunar has challenged Nepal Police to arrest him if they have evidence of financial irregularities linked to him. Speaking at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, he said the police should arrest him if they have evidence, rather than intimidating him.
MP Sunar also defended himself against allegations that he collected crores of rupees in connection with ambassadorial appointments, claiming the allegations were a conspiracy by the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
