Chicken prices drop after Dashain, live chicken down Rs 10 per kg

Chicken meat prices have fallen following the end of Dashain. The National Chicken Traders Association has reduced the prices of live chicken and processed meat, effective from Monday.
According to the association, the price of live chicken has been cut by Rs 10 per kg. The price of processed meat that consumers buy alongside live chicken has also been lowered.
The main reason cited for the price drop is a decline in meat consumption in the market.
The new prices set by the association will come into effect from Monday.
