Light rain and snow possible today in Himalayan areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology's Weather Forecasting Division has said the country is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds and monsoon winds.

According to the division, the Himalayan areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces will generally remain cloudy today, Tuesday. Light rain and snowfall are possible in a few places in these areas in the afternoon.

The division has also said that one or two places in the remaining Himalayan and hilly areas of the country may experience brief, light rain.

In the Tarai region, however, the weather is forecast to remain mostly clear today.
