Congress convention: Khatiwada and Shivakoti maintain lead for joint general secretary (open category)

Ramhari Khatiwada and Ajaybabu Shivakoti have maintained their lead in the ongoing vote count for the two joint general secretary posts under the open category in the Nepali Congress's 15th general convention. According to Ratopati, both remain ahead after a total of 5,089 votes have been counted. They were also ahead when 4,187 and then 4,287 votes had been counted earlier.

According to Nepal Press, when 3,586 votes had been counted, Khatiwada had received 1,586 votes while Shivakoti was following with 1,128 votes.

Similarly, for the one joint general secretary post under the Indigenous Nationalities category, Bahadur Singh Lama is leading after 1,912 votes counted so far.

As per the schedule released by the Central Election Committee on Monday, vote counting for the joint general secretary and central member posts is taking place in Sanepa, Lalitpur. Counting for various central member posts is also underway.
