Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City has launched a digital board to promote the tourism and identity of Sudurpashchim province.

The board, installed in front of the park on Gen-Z Marg in Dhangadhi-1, was inaugurated on Sunday by Sudurpashchim Chief Minister Khagraj Bhatta. According to the sub-metropolis, the board will operate for three hours daily, from 6 pm to 9 pm.

It will display information about the province's major religious and tourist sites, the sub-metropolis's creative programmes, and traffic-related updates. The sub-metropolis expects the modern technology to enhance Dhangadhi's beauty and make information dissemination more effective.

At the inauguration, Chief Minister Bhatta said the current era belongs to digital technology and innovation, noting that Dhangadhi has taken the initiative in this regard. Mayor Gopal Hamal said the province can prosper only through the proper use of its natural and religious heritage.

He urged all 88 local levels in the province to share details of their good practices and achievements. Alongside the inauguration, about two dozen tourism promotion booklets prepared under the "Our Sudurpashchim, We Introduce" campaign were released.

The booklets include details of destinations such as Ramaroshan area, Salmuni, Paduka Triveni Dham, Baidyanath Dham and Bhageshwar Temple, among others. The campaign aims to promote these destinations nationally and internationally to attract domestic and foreign tourists.
