Textbook printing resumes at Janak Education after two-month halt; old curriculum to be used

The government-owned Janak Education Materials Centre Limited has resumed textbook printing after a halt of about two months. Books based on the existing curriculum will be used in the coming academic session.
Printing had stopped because the printer plate ready copy (PRC) for the revised curriculum was not available on time after the government decided to revise the curriculum. As the halt threatened a shortage of textbooks in the next session, centre staff had been drawing the government's attention to the problem.
According to centre spokesperson Ram Bahadur Kunwar, printing began in early Asoj as per the Ministry of Education's decision. Kunwar said that because printing has resumed, there will be no shortage of books in the coming session.
