Nepal climb two places to 14th in ICC T20I rankings

Nepal have climbed two places to 14th in the International Cricket Council's (ICC) T20 International team rankings.

The ICC released the updated rankings on Friday.

Nepal's position improved after their win over Afghanistan the same day at the Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan.

Nepal won the match by 5 wickets.

Batting first, Afghanistan were restricted to 102 for 7 in 20 overs.

In reply, Nepal chased down the 103-run target in just 17.2 overs.

In bowling, Kushal Bhurtel took 4 wickets and Lalit Rajbanshi took 3.

In batting, Sandeep Jora scored 34 runs, while Rohit Paudel remained unbeaten on 33.

Nepal will play their final group-stage match against Japan on Saturday.
