Chitwan National Park launches online ticketing service

Chitwan National Park began an online ticketing service from Thursday, after nearly three years of preparation.
Chief Senior Conservation Officer Dilbahadur Purja Pun said the park has launched the service on a trial basis at the Sauraha entry gate. Tourists can now fill in their details, pay the fee online, and enter the park by showing a QR code.
Previously, visitors had to be present in person to pay cash for tickets, which caused inconvenience for tourists, hotels and tourism businesses. Purja Pun said the service was introduced first at Sauraha because more than 80 percent of domestic and foreign tourists entering the park's 12 entry points come through that gate.
Chitwan National Park is one of Nepal's most popular destinations for wildlife viewing.
