Gen Z activist Raksha Bam has drawn the government's attention to the transport and food problems being faced by travelers returning home to celebrate Dashain.

Writing on social media, she noted continuing complaints that buses are being packed with passengers beyond their capacity.

She said travelers on highway routes at night have had to eat poor-quality food at hotels even after paying expensive prices.

She said fixing such problems would not take 30-35 years, and that some action could be taken within six months.

She recalled that citizens voted after seeing the courage to resolve problems of daily life.

She cautioned the government, saying citizens are now assessing its capacity to work.

She also remarked that Nepali people are not limited to just using Facebook and TikTok, and that they think about the issues involved.

For those setting out on Dashain journeys, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has today forecast a possibility of thunder and rain at one or two places in the hilly parts of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim. Tomorrow morning, fog is forecast at some places in the Tarai parts of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpashchim.
