Nepal climbs one spot to 16th in ICC ODI rankings

Nepal has climbed one place to 16th in the men's ODI rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday.
According to the ICC, Nepal has a rating of 28 after accumulating 939 points from 33 matches.
Nepal's position improved after Namibia lost to host United States in the ongoing World Cup League 2 series in the US. Namibia dropped one place to 17th, while the United States is ranked 15th.
Nepal has not played an ODI since winning the ACC Premier Cup last September, when it beat the UAE in the final. Nepal will next play Canada on Sunday in a League 2 series hosted by Oman. The triangular series features Oman, Nepal and Canada.
India remains top of the rankings, followed by New Zealand in second, South Africa third, Australia fourth and Pakistan fifth. England is sixth, Sri Lanka seventh and Afghanistan eighth.
