223 depositors of four troubled cooperatives get their savings back

The Troubled Cooperatives Management Committee has returned the savings of 223 depositors of four troubled cooperatives.

According to the committee, the savings have been returned to small depositors of Shiva Shikhar, Kantipur, Krishi Bikas and Gorkha cooperatives.

The committee said that returning savings to depositors of the relevant cooperatives, using funds obtained from loan recovery and asset management of cooperative institutions declared troubled, is continuing in accordance with prevailing legal provisions.

Depositors who had saved in troubled cooperatives have long been demanding the return of their money. Under this same process, the committee has returned the savings of 223 people from these four cooperatives.
