Bill to give legal protection to those who help road accident victims

The government has registered a bill in the House of Representatives that includes provisions to give legal protection to people who immediately help those injured in road accidents.
According to the National Road Safety Bill, 2083, a person who provides first aid at the accident site or takes an injured person to hospital will not be subject to civil or criminal action.
The bill also includes a provision that a rescuer who helps in good faith cannot later be legally questioned over their assistance.
It requires all government and non-government health institutions to begin treating injured persons without delay.
The bill states that modern trauma centers will be set up in urban areas along highways, ambulance services will be provided at fixed intervals, and a one-door system will be implemented for treating the injured.
The government has brought the bill with strict legal provisions aimed at reducing human and economic losses from road accidents and making the transport system safer and more reliable.
