Partial effect of westerly winds brings chance of light rain, snow in mountain and hill regions

The country is currently experiencing a partial effect of westerly winds, the Meteorological Forecasting Division has said. As a result, the country's mountain and hill regions are partly cloudy.

According to the division, the mountain and hill regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as the mountain regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, are currently partly cloudy. Weather in the rest of the country is mainly clear.

The division said there is a chance of light rain and snowfall in some hill and mountain areas of the country on Monday. However, the weather is forecast to remain generally clear in most parts of the country.

Those traveling to high hill and mountain areas during Dashain are advised to check weather updates before setting out.
