Election Commission submits annual report to President

The Election Commission has submitted its annual report for fiscal year 2082/83 to President Ram Chandra Poudel.

Chief Election Commissioner Man Bahadur Karki handed over the report on Thursday, Asoj 15, at a program held at Sheetal Niwas, the presidential residence in Maharajgunj. Other commissioners of the commission were also present at the handover alongside Chief Commissioner Karki.

According to a statement issued by the spokesperson of the President's Office, the report was submitted as required under Article 294 of the constitution. Section 44 of the Election Commission Act, 2073, also legally requires the commission to submit such a report every year.
