Repair of flood-damaged Dana-Khurkot transmission line reaches final stage

Repair work on the transmission line damaged by floods, landslides and erosion by the Kaligandaki River in Myagdi in the second week of Asoj has reached its final stage.
The damaged line is the 220 kV Dana-Khurkot transmission line under the Kaligandaki corridor. The transmission line was damaged due to the flooding, landslides and river erosion.
To ease the power supply on an emergency basis during the disaster, a temporary tower is being built using Canadian technology. Repair work on the transmission line is being carried out using the same technology.
Once the repair is completed, power flow from this section of the Kaligandaki corridor is expected to become smooth.
