Nepal captain Indu Barma in Canada to play Canada Super 60

Indu Barma, captain of the Nepali women's cricket team, left for Canada on Asoj 10 to take part in the Canada Super 60 cricket tournament. The franchise Toronto Sixers has signed Indu for the tournament's second edition.

Indu will play in the six-day tournament running from September 29 to October 4 at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada. In the women's category, three teams -- Toronto Sixers, Vancouver Warriors and Vancouver Anchors -- will compete. In the men's category, a total of 24 matches have been scheduled.

Canada Super 60 is a franchise-based tournament played in a T10 format, in which each team bats for up to 10 overs per innings. A match in this format is stated to finish in about 90 minutes.

Alongside Indu, prominent international players including South Africa's Marizanne Kapp, Pakistan's Fatima Sana, and England's Bess Heath will also take part in the tournament.
