4,600 organisations in Morang yet to renew for years now under administration watch

The District Administration Office in Morang has launched a records-cleaning drive to identify organisations that have remained inactive without renewing their registration for years.

To determine whether registered organisations are actually operating or exist only on paper, the administration has set a two-month deadline for them to update their details.

According to administration records, around 4,600 organisations are registered in the district under the Organisation Registration Act, 2034, and some have not renewed for more than five years.

On Asoj 12, the office issued a public notice asking organisations that have not renewed for more than two years to come forward with the necessary documents. The administration said those who do not come forward within the deadline will face action under prevailing law.

Assistant Chief District Officer Pawanraj Koirala said data is being collected on how many organisations are operating regularly and how many are inactive.
