Rainwater has accumulated on the main roads of Siraha headquarters, creating flooding and disrupting daily life. Even after the rain stopped, the water on the roads has not dried up due to the lack of proper drainage.

It has become difficult to ride bicycles and motorcycles on the waterlogged roads. Vehicles such as tempos and city rickshaws are also having trouble operating. The general public traveling on the roads has also had to endure hardship.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the country is currently under the influence of a western low-pressure system and monsoon winds. The department has forecast that the weather in the Terai region will mainly remain clear today, with fog in some places in the morning.

In nearby Janakpur, the department forecasts partly cloudy weather, temperatures between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius, and zero percent chance of rain. In Biratnagar in the eastern Terai as well, morning fog is forecast, with temperatures between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius.

The weather in the Terai is forecast to remain mainly clear tomorrow as well. Tomorrow, light to moderate rain with thunder is likely in a few places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Karnali, and in one or two places in Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpashchim.
