ICC team inspects TU and Mulpani grounds ahead of U-19 Women's World Cup

A team from the International Cricket Council (ICC) has inspected the infrastructure of Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground and Tribhuvan University (TU) Cricket Ground.

Nepal and Bangladesh are set to jointly host the ICC U-19 Women's World Cup 2027. The tournament, said to be held in early 2027, will feature 16 teams including both hosts, divided into four groups. The match schedule has not yet been made public.

Preparations are underway to hold the World Cup matches at the Upper Mulpani and TU grounds, with Lower Mulpani to be developed as a practice ground. However, it has not yet been decided how many matches will be held in Nepal.

The ICC delegation examined the condition of the grounds along with various technical aspects. The team first conducted an on-site inspection of Upper Mulpani in the morning, followed by the TU ground in the afternoon.
