Energy minister Shrestha directs NEA to ease mobile payment of electricity bills

Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has directed that electricity bills be made easier to pay digitally from mobile phones.

Minister Shrestha has instructed the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) to systematically expand the electronic payment system for electricity tariffs.

With this directive, the authority has been tasked with making it easier and more systematic for consumers to pay electricity tariffs digitally through mobile phones.

Minister Shrestha has completed six months in charge of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.
