Monsoon disasters damage 242 houses in Beni, 91 fully destroyed

This year's monsoon-related disasters have damaged 242 private residences in Beni Municipality, Myagdi.

According to the municipality, floods and landslides fully destroyed 91 houses and partially damaged 151 others. The disasters have caused damage worth tens of millions of rupees in the municipality.

Beni Deputy Mayor Jyoti Lamichhane said it is estimated that restoring the damaged roads to their previous condition will cost 250 to 300 million rupees.
