Army says it rescued 1,106 people after Bhotekoshi flood

The Nepali Army has called the search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation work carried out across the country after the flood that hit Rasuwa's Bhotekoshi on Bhadra 10 an excellent example of coordination and cooperation among agencies.
The army said that in places where roads and bridges were destroyed and access was cut off, rescue efforts were made effective by applying technology suited to the situation.
According to army spokesperson Rajaram Basnet, protecting citizens' lives was the top priority despite adverse weather and difficult terrain. Security agencies coordinated with one another in search and rescue, relief distribution, and in moving at-risk residents to safe locations.
In an article recalling the situation after the Rasuwa flood, the army said the courage and professional skill shown by soldiers deployed in hazardous areas reflected its commitment to public safety.
