Tension in Saudi Arabia: Himalaya Airlines cancels Kathmandu-Dammam flight

A flight scheduled from Kathmandu to Dammam has been canceled due to rising tension in Saudi Arabia. Himalaya Airlines has announced the cancellation of service on this route.

The effects of the attack at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, have also reached Nepali flight services. The company said the flight was canceled giving top priority to passenger safety.

According to the Saudi civil aviation authority, 12 people died and more than 300 were injured in the latest attack at Riyadh airport. Some of the injured are said to be in critical condition.

As a large number of Nepali workers are in Saudi Arabia, flights to that country mostly carry Nepali passengers.
