Army-built bailey bridge opens at Betrawati, restoring Nuwakot-Rasuwa road link

A new modular Acrow bailey bridge has been built and put into operation at Betrawati as a replacement for the bridge swept away by flooding in the Bhotekoshi area of Rasuwa on Bhadau 10.
The Nepali Army constructed the bridge over the Phalaku Khola in Betrawati. It was built to ease road transport that had been affected by the flood.
With the construction of the bridge, vehicle movement on that stretch of road formally resumed from Sunday. Vehicles have started crossing via the bridge.
The bridge connects Nuwakot and Rasuwa districts. Road transport on this stretch had been affected following the flood on Bhadau 10.
