Two Kavre municipalities give Rs 6.3 million for Bhotekoshi flood victims

Panchkhal Municipality and Khanikhola Rural Municipality in Kavrepalanchok have deposited around Rs 6.3 million into the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for Bhotekoshi flood victims.
Of this, Panchkhal Municipality has deposited about Rs 4.3 million and Khanikhola Rural Municipality about Rs 2 million into the fund.
According to Panchkhal Mayor Mahesh Khanal, the municipality's amount was raised from three sources. The municipality itself has allocated Rs 1 million, while elected representatives and staff have contributed about Rs 1.3 million.
The largest contribution has come from teachers, who have collected nearly Rs 2 million.
