Nepse falls by double digits again, turnover tops Rs 4 billion

The share market fell by double digits again on Friday, the last trading day of the week.
According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the Nepse index dropped by about 12 points, or nearly half a percent, to close around 2,587 points.
Shares of 356 companies worth about Rs 4.29 billion changed hands, with roughly 11.9 million units traded. Turnover fell by nearly Rs 600 million compared with Thursday's Rs 4.89 billion.
Share prices fell for around 207 companies, rose for 61, and remained unchanged for 11. The index fell for all sub-groups except mutual funds and trading, with the manufacturing and processing sub-group worst hit, down nearly three-quarters of a percent.
As investors turned toward debentures, the price of NMB debentures rose by about 14 percent and SBL debentures by nearly 9 percent. Sindhu Bikas Bank's share price fell by about 8.5 percent and Dhaulagiri Microfinance's by nearly 5 percent.
By turnover amount, SBL debentures topped the list with about Rs 265.3 million, followed by Reliance Spinning Mills with turnover of about Rs 155 million.
