Chhath nears: bamboo item sales rise in Siraha markets

With the Chhath festival approaching, sales of bamboo worship items have started rising in markets in Siraha.

People have been heading to the markets to buy items needed for Chhath worship, including dhaki, nanglo, sup and koniya baskets. Worship materials are placed in these bamboo containers to offer arghya to the sun god.
