Kanti Lokpath landslide cleared, night travel banned due to risk at 27 spots

Landslide debris that fell on the Kanti Lokpath has been cleared, and vehicles that were stranded have been sent onward to their destinations. Vehicles had been stuck on the road because of the landslide.

Although the debris has been removed, the Kanti Lokpath Project has said vehicle movement will be banned at night in view of the continuing risk.

Due to the rainfall, a high risk of landslides remains at 27 locations along the road. The complete ban on night-time vehicle movement has been imposed to prevent possible accidents.

Because of the continuous rainfall of the past three days, roads continue to be blocked and the risk of landslides keeps rising in various parts of the country.
