Armed Police Force AIG Banshiraj Dahal suspended over alleged leak of sensitive information

The Home Ministry has suspended Armed Police Force (APF) Additional Inspector General (AIG) Banshiraj Dahal. The ministry suspended him from his post on Monday, accusing him of misconduct by leaking sensitive security-related information.

Home Ministry spokesperson Anand Kafle issued a statement announcing the suspension. According to Nepal Press, AIG Dahal is accused of leaking information related to the arrest of Cholendra Shumsher.

According to Ratopati, the ministry has also formed a committee to look into the matter.

No further details about the incident, in which a senior Armed Police Force official has been suspended over an alleged leak of security information, have been made public.
