Chinese ambassador Chang arrives in Lomanthang with seven-member team via Korala crossing

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chang Maoming and a seven-member team reached Lomanthang in Upper Mustang on Saturday via Korala, the northern border crossing. Ambassador Chang entered Nepal through Mustang. Mustang Chief District Officer Ajita Sharma confirmed the team's arrival in Lomanthang.

Ambassador Chang is in Lomanthang on a three-day visit. The team includes five Chinese nationals. After the visit, the team is scheduled to return to China from Lomanthang via the Korala crossing.

Since the Rasuwagadhi crossing was closed, Ambassador Chang went to Korala to see the current situation there firsthand. The high-level team, including the ambassador, also inspected the Korala crossing.

Korala is a crossing on Mustang's northern border. The Chinese ambassador came to Upper Mustang through this crossing and will also use it on his return.
