Finance Minister Waglé returns home after attending AIIB annual meeting

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle returned home on Wednesday after attending the annual meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). The meeting was held in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

Minister Wagle arrived in Kathmandu on a Qatar Airways flight at 8:45 am on Wednesday.

At the meeting, Minister Wagle stressed the need to make the bank's investments more concessional to suit the needs of countries like Nepal.

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank has been investing in infrastructure projects in its member countries. Finance ministers and representatives of member nations take part in the bank's annual meeting.
