World Bank projects Nepal's growth to slow to 3.7% due to Rasuwa floods

The World Bank has projected that Nepal's economic growth will be limited to 3.7 percent due to the Rasuwa floods.
The growth rate is expected to fall because floods that hit Votekoshi in Rasuwa on Bhadra 10 disrupted the industry and service sectors.
According to the World Bank, the floods damaged hydropower, solar energy, power transmission and transport infrastructure. The bank said such damage will directly affect electricity generation, productive activities and the movement of goods.
The World Bank's projection shows that the damage caused by floods in the Votekoshi-Trishuli area will be visible in the overall economy.
