Practice match in Pokhara: Bhutan bowled out for 96 against Gandaki

Bhutan's national cricket team, on a visit to Pokhara, was bowled out for 96 in its first practice match against Gandaki Province.

Batting first after losing the toss at the cricket ground at Pokhara Rangasala on Tuesday, the Bhutanese team was dismissed for all 10 wickets in 19.3 overs. Sonam Chopel and Rangjung Mikyo Dorji each added 27 runs for Bhutan. Namgay Thinley scored 16 runs, while Tashi Phuntsho remained unbeaten on 9. Tenzin Rabgye, Gakul Kumar Ghale and Tashi Chopel were dismissed without scoring. Thinley Jamtsho made 7 runs, while Namgang Choeje, Tashi Dorji and Sonam Yeshe were each out for 2.

Gandaki's Suvas Bhandari was the most successful bowler, taking 4 wickets for 15 runs in 4 overs. Aparajit Paudel took 3 wickets, while captain Bipin Khatri, Sudip Aryal and Sivrin Shrestha took one wicket each. Gandaki Province now has a target of 97 runs for victory.

According to the schedule, Bhutan is set to play two practice matches each against Gandaki Province and a CAN XI in Pokhara.
