Foreign Minister Khanal leaves for Fiji for pre-COP climate programme

Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal left Kathmandu for Fiji on Saturday to take part in the Pre-COP Leaders' Event on climate change. A four-member Nepali delegation led by him will participate in the programme, which will be held on Asoj 19 and 20 in Fiji and Tuvalu. The programme has been organised to advance global dialogue and cooperation on climate change.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Khanal will address the plenary session of leaders on Asoj 20. Before the session, he will also take part in a joint press question-and-answer session with the President of Palau and the Prime Ministers of Australia and Fiji. The visit also includes a programme in Australia for Minister Khanal.
