Three former district presidents from Makwanpur elected Congress central members

Five leaders from Makwanpur district have been elected central members in Nepali Congress's recently concluded 15th general convention.
Three of them have already served as district president.
Former presidents Ramchandra Michael Aryal and Indra Bahadur Baniya, and current president Buddha Lama, have reached the central committee.
Aryal was district president from 2057 BS to 2067 BS and this time won from the Khas Arya cluster.
Baniya, the outgoing Makwanpur district president, is also the Bagmati Province president, and he became a central member from the open category with a popular vote.
Lama, who became district president after Baniya, was elected from the Indigenous Nationalities cluster.
Since 2057 BS, Aryal, Raghuraman Neupane, Baniya and Lama have in turn served as Makwanpur Congress district president, and of them, all except Neupane have now reached the center.
Uma Dahal and Dr Ayush Bagale, also from Makwanpur, have likewise won central committee seats.
