Cinemaghar's Dashain-Tihar movie mela features 8 Nepali films

Cinemaghar, an OTT platform that streams Nepali films digitally, has launched a "Dashain-Tihar Movie Mela" targeting the Dashain-Tihar holidays, allowing viewers to watch Nepali films from home.

According to the platform's poster, the mela includes "Hraswa Dirgha," "Ke Ghar Ke Dera: Ghar Number 2," "Laaj Sharanam," "Mayawi," "Karsang," "Haribahadurko Jutta," "Kathputali" and "Prawasi Jiwan." These films, released on the eve of Dashain, are already available for streaming.

Cinemaghar said the mela was organized so that during the long holiday, viewers would not need to go to theatres or wait for television broadcast times, and could instead watch films whenever convenient for them.

The Cinemaghar app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to watch on smartphones and tablets. Those wishing to watch on a big screen can run the app on Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung Smart TV and LG webOS.

Mobile content can also be cast to a TV via Chromecast, while films can be watched directly through a web browser on a computer. The platform has also added 4K streaming for higher quality.
