Crowds throng Ugratara Bhagwati temple in Dadeldhura on Mahaashtami

A fair has been held at the famed religious shaktipeeth Ugratara Bhagwati temple in the Sudurpashchim region on the occasion of Mahaashtami.

Crowds of devotees have been thronging the temple, located about four kilometers north of Dadeldhura district headquarters, since early morning. Devotees have gone to the temple to offer worship and prayers.

There is a tradition of worshipping the goddess Shakti on Mahaashtami, the eighth day of Bada Dashain. On this occasion, crowds of devotees have gathered at various shaktipeeths and goddess temples across the country.

Ugratara Bhagwati temple is known as one of the famous religious sites in the Sudurpashchim region.
