Election Commission and registration department sign deal to update voter rolls

The Election Commission and the Department of National Identity Cards and Registration have signed a memorandum of understanding to make the voter list more accurate, reliable and systematic.

Under the agreement, the department will share with the commission details from its personal event registration and social security management information system. These details will be used to update the voter list and verify information.

The agreement between the two bodies aims to make the work of updating and verifying the voter list smoother, more organized and more effective.
