Lamichhane claims no rift with Prime Minister Balen Shah

Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane has claimed that there is no rift between him and Prime Minister Balen Shah. He made the remark while addressing a central committee meeting held at the party's central office in Banasthali on Saturday.
The remarks come at a time when there has been talk of strained relations between the prime minister and the party chairperson.
According to central members who attended the meeting, Lamichhane said reports of a rift in the media were baseless. He even said he was ready to put his thumbprint to that effect if needed.
He said no one could drive a wedge between him and the prime minister.
RSP lawmaker Asim Shah wrote on social media that the chairperson had said the government would run for five years under the leadership of Prime Minister Shah.
Central members said Lamichhane spoke for nearly an hour at the meeting. He also gave his views on the government, ministers, the party and the organisation.
